Primarily just that it's an open source plugin with an "enterprise" product business model. Pretty neat! Forgot to mention it has support for tab completion, too, but I've never liked that.

I switched off Cursor a few months ago (maybe 2?) so I may be a little outdated, but it was identical for the core features of "edit selection" and "chat with context"! Really enjoy it and I don't feel about about using it with my own API keys.

Stuff like that is where I get the most value out of LLMs + Cursor (I use Continue, but essentially same exp). Just mind numbing glue crap, or not knowing how to set up the configuration for a client of some web service. Reduces friction to so many things that would make problems otherwise seem unattractive.

Excited to see folks playing with @todaydotfun! I'll be sharing some thoughts and casting throughout the day about observations and improvements we're making. Overall, super cool to see users claiming their airdrop and participating in submitting and voting! Here are some improvements we're making RN: - preventing self-voting—a lot of users are submitting "test" content and then voting it to the top, clogging up the leaderboard, going to prevent this. - exposing FC usernames— today was initially conceived as an anon-adjacent experiment, but based on feedback exposing usernames will add another stamp of quality What are your thoughts so far and what do you want to see improve? Thanks for playing! 💣

To elaborate on this—the OP of a tweet/cast featured on $TODAY is eligible to claim a price of 10,000 $TODAY, even if they haven't made an account yet.

I’ve been eager to try it to see how it compares, but I can’t bring myself to log back in to Twitter lol

They can also put those unknowns into context to help you get a leg up. But from there I’m typically searching out didactic material then doing a little Q&A with an LLM to test my understanding.

I think you have to have a didactic mindset when working with LLMs in areas you’re not expert. I’ve used them to accelerate skilling up in a lot of areas just by helping me uncover unknown unknowns. Often times in new fields I just don’t know where to start.

I was too hurt by horse_ebooks to believe Terminal of Truth was real but I’m coming around now. Those were simpler times. Gawker existed. Jack ran Twitter.

Absent clear distribution/GTM for retail audience, many turned to solving fun problems and selling products to one another. Can’t last forever without real commerce to consume that infra.

Totally agreed. I look at infra as first or second derivative plays. At some point someone needs to draw external value into the ecosystem. Seeing it now with stables (and more native defi before). Consumer is very very important, and is going to happen on mobile first.

AWS data tools have taken a massive leap forward in usability over the last many years, but it seems that culturally Google will always produce tools with a better DX. It’s really stark.

Last night’s game had a painful ending but if every WS game is going to be that intense, we’re in for a major treat.

I don't really feel like this is an AI problem, as much as it's an access to affordable and healthy food problem. But I think for the top end/luxury market, a personal assistant that helps manage stuff like this would be pretty useful!
