Everyone being someone’s kid is oddly humanizing/touching Perhaps it’s because it prompts you to think of adults you know as they were children, and of the innocence and purity that comes with it

@july Or maybe because when you remember how much a person or people labored over someone to raise them — how much work it took to keep them alive — it makes you want to be more careful with them? They have more value(?) in that sense?
