Because, from this perspective, e/acc believes AGI is a dramatic increase in energy efficiency, which is the same thing as cheap energy.

How would it accelerate making energy cheaper or increasing supply?

I could be wrong here but isn’t the premise that AGI will be more capable than humans at rapidly improving technology because of its processing and thinking capacity?

This would apply to energy technology as well.
