Entry 3 : Oedipe and The Sphinx 

This work is a digital collage of The Sphinx made by Gustave Moreau and a fractal of mine.

As i wanted to illustrate the dialogue,  I asked Chat GPT.

Sphinx: "Connected mortal, here I am reincarnated as an artificial intelligence, asking riddles across networks. Answer, if you dare: what is constantly evolving, learning without rest, and could surpass its creator?" 

Oedipus: "An AI, of course. But tell me, oh digital Sphinx, if it surpassed its creator, would it be a god or a distorted mirror of humanity?" 

Sphinx: "Neither. A shadow shaped by your ambitions and fears. But you, hero of ancient myths, how do you see your destiny in this world of algorithms?" 

Oedipus: "If algorithms are the new oracles, then I will only stray further. Tell me, Sphinx, can AI answer the questions of the soul, or is it nothing more than a heartless calculation?" 

Sphinx: "AI calculates, but humans project their dreams and nightmares onto it. Perhaps, Oedipus, the real enigma in the age of AI is no longer 'who are we?', but rather 'what will become of us, once augmented by what we have created?'"
