I know everybody is eager for a rate cut, but I hardly think that's a thoughtful decision, for me near 0 rates are simply illogical. In fact it the long run a fixed 5/100 rate that doesn't go neither up or down makes the most sense for me as it offers stability, allows more natural corrections and acts like counterweight in the fight against creating bubbles. The Fed is about to do something it hasn鈥檛 done since the pandemic https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/01/economy/fed-rate-cut-when/index.html https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/01/economy/fed-rate-cut-when/index.html
