which daos have actually acquired land or physical space?

Been thinking about this question. I’m a residential architect and am really interested in experimenting with community sourced design AND construction. I do think the initial hurdle is figuring out a compelling reason why a decentralized community would want to co-own or co-occupy a building or space.

i agree re the reason, i was talking about something similar in another comment… man that would be a cool position to have within a dao tho. getting to design a space specifically around the shared purpose of the community.

I think the key is what others have said: a common shared interest. I guess maker communities or Warhammer gamers would do that kind of thing because they already do it without a DAO. However I see some cool ideas of joining such a DAO as getting access with your not to the physical space, events, etc.
