People overestimate the unique value of long-shelf-life information. Most such information has very high substitutability for any given purpose. Distributional media break ties more often than not.

Test: If you had to carve a 1000-word passage onto rock in a closed, ticketed location with no cameras allowed, could you really think of anything to say that would make people want to pay the ticket price? Do you have anything to say that’s uniquely worth that much for anyone to access?
