Per the previous thread, and in light of tariff issue —> best summation of how empire and associated reserve currency corrode said empire’s security:

American manufacturing is structurally uncompetitive because the dollar is overvalued by 20% due to its reserve currency status. 

Another way of saying this is that every American has a 20% bonus to his purchasing power thanks to American empire.

Another way of saying this is that the American empire over time undermines its own defense by killing the industry on which it depends. 

Dollar reserve or defense - pick one. Choose wisely.
