Thương vụ này nằm trong chuỗi đầu tư đa dạng ngoài lĩnh vực crypto của Tether, sau khi hãng công bố lợi nhuận 13 tỷ USD năm 2024. Trước đó, Tether cũng mua cổ phần Juventus, đầu tư vào nông nghiệp Nam Mỹ và nền tảng video Rumble.
