every couple days i stumble upon somebody cool here and investigate their lore a bit and find they have tens, hundreds of thousands of followers on other apps and do really cool things and yet they are spending oodles of time here posting to like 500 followers

Literally me. I have over 400,000 followers across other platforms but I’m spending about 85% of my time here.
