ICYMI, @gramajo.eth and I covered these topics on /earlymorningcrew today: 🧠 Onchain Tipping Revolution: Platforms like Fountain allow listeners to tip podcasters in real-time using Bitcoin's Lightning Network 🧠 Legacy Media Embracing Web3: /pods onboards a major podcast, A Shadow of Truth, to its platform, demonstrating that decentralized distribution is gaining traction even in mainstream media 🧠 The Need for a Web3-Native Podcast App: Despite advances, there’s still no seamless Ethereum-based podcasting app that integrates tipping, onchain comments, and decentralized social features like Farcaster 🧠 Web3 Platforms Lack Data Insights: Web3 podcast platforms need to offer detailed metrics like those Web2 platforms provide to help them refine content strategies 🧠 RSS Feeds Are Still Crucial: RSS feeds remain essential for podcast distribution allowing creators to maintain control of their content across both traditional and decentralized platforms Full recap coming Thursday!

I finally got the opportunity to read your last piece on the channel shake up and navigating farcaster. Something im starting to rethink as a channel owner is to try to gear it more toward discussion. Which can be a challenge - I made the channel when I first joined and thought it would be a fun project - but it does incentive owners to be more thoughtful about how they are crafting and building their channels - I still have alot more to re-consider given the changes.

I'm glad you found the discussion thought-provoking. Similarly, I came in and created several channels for the fun of it. With the recent changes, however, there is a lot more administrative overhead including being strategic about how you will engage followers and convert them to members. Since the updates, I've only been able to do this with 2 of 10 channels I own.

I think thats by design - from my understanding its ultimately the end goal. Channels will either grow a community - or dissolve out. This is not to say your other 8 channels arent worthy channels, each channel just seems to take more work. I commend you for having 10 channels to begin with ha
