This image was created during a time that I would hire a drone pilot to fly the quad while I directed the shoot and captured images with a second camera that was also attached to the drone. It opened my eyes to what was possible. To see someone successfully take flight off of a rooftop in the middle of DTLA and then land it was empowering. Now, I’m very comfortable flying myself, but it did not start out that way.

I would say whatever DJI drone fits your budget, all are fabulous. For example, this image was created with an Inspire 2, which I no longer have. It is enormous, you can switch out lenses, beyond overkill. Now, i fly with a Mavic 3 or Air 2S. Both have fantastic results. I know there are smaller versions than that such as the Mavic Mini. I just looked at the DJI Air 3. While I’ve never used it, I’m sure it’s fantastic.
