Ok, firefits gang. I need your help.

I haven’t bought Levi’s in a long time. Yesterday I tried several styles and found the 501 and 514 were my favorite. That said, I can’t decide which one I like better. 

501 (left) feels better down the leg and ankle, but the 514 (right) feels better on the seat and rise.

Which one would you choose and why?

the 501s look like they fit you better, and jeans stretch the most in the waist and seat - so don’t worry if they’re a little tight now

oh, they both fit well in the waist. it’s the rise on the 501s I’m not a fan of. It’s too long. 514s seems to be low rise so it feels nicer from waist to crotch.

Love everything about the 514 except the loose (baggy) fit down the leg. For reference, I’m a denim snob who usually buys Japanese selvedge denim. I’m trying Levi’s for the first time in decades for a softer, broken in fabric that is ready to wear.

one thing i’ve learned is to just buy what feels best, and if i’m questioning buying something, that’s my message that i prob shouldn’t buy it

what im hearing is that you’re questioning 501s and know you like the 514s better
