Hey :) technical question, would it be possible to transfer the ownership of my account to another wallet ? I did some testing a year ago and I think I leaked sensitive info about my wallet. I want to rotate just for safety's sake !

Sure. The simplest way is a recovery, same as if you had lost your seed phrase. First export and save your seed phrase somewhere safe, in case there's anything in that account (Settings > Advanced > Reveal recovery phrase). Then log out of the mobile app, and choose Sign in with another Account > Recover account via email. You'll be logged out of the mobile app until the recovery is processed, which could be a couple days, but you can stay logged in on web. Best to do it at a time when the interruption won't bother you though, in case you get logged out on web.

It's weird because the recovery email says "Account is not configured with Warpcast recovery address" while I just set a recovery address in the advanced settings to be sure before taking any actions

I see, I only found the documentation for it now: I must change it so an address controlled by Warpcast ... I wonder if I can do it myself though so I don't have to wait?

Don't touch the recovery address if you want to use Warpcast to perform the recovery. It should stay set to 0x00000000FcB080a4D6c39a9354dA9EB9bC104cd7, the Warpcast recovery proxy. If you change this, we can't recover your account. The recovery address is the address that can *recover* your Farcaster ID, not the new address that will receive it. We'll create a new passkey wallet for you under the hood as part of the recovery process. You can change this if you don't trust us or want to do it yourself, but you'll have to construct the signatures and send the transactions on your own. If you're comfortable doing that, go for it.

I succeeded at migrating my wallet. It's a ridiculous story. So back when I was much less experimented with Farcaster I was experimenting with the protocol and I accidentally committed my seed phrase on an open-source repo. The wallet created by Farcaster got added to a drainer list, and so I couldn't transfer the funds to complete the transaction using a migration tool created by the community. I literally spent an hour sending funds (tiny amount) from a wallet to the Farcaster one to try to execute the migration contact. The problem is that I created so many operations I lost track of which wallet I generated now held my account. I had to go to my clipboard history and I pasted every pass phrase I generated and tried them all. It worked, and I'm so happy lol. This shit is never leaving my backup again lol
