kind of a dumb question, but are farcaster DMs encrypted? haven’t used the feature yet.

Not right now, they're basically the same as Twitter DMs at the moment.

There is a plan for e2ee DMs, and they were even implemented in Warpcast for a bit, but we need to solve some scaling and reliability challenges to make them work for groups and at scale:
