I think about this chart every time someone asks for 30 second frame timeouts. (From "Systems Performance," Brendan Gregg)

This made me think about all Australians who watch Olympics "live" with ~500ms delay 🥲

but I need that 5m timeout, all my frames run a chron job that emails my vercel rep who physically restarts my server instance

is the frame timeout still set for 5 seconds?

Kinda stumped on what "frame timeouts" mean in this context

what if 1 cpu cycle took 1 second , 30 second need 30 CPU ?

Is latency the intrinsic time it takes to run, and scale being the upper bound?

What are these specifically?
