nerd alert - if you’re a nerd like me then exit the cloud & do your next project on a new gaming machine - connect to where the ai revolution is coming from. My ROG mobo with nvme card gives me 20tb of what is now ram performance storage. That lets me make my own google inverted index with very simple code.

My last data science project, I did on a gaming setup that ended up costing me a bit north of $2K, complete with a high-end CPU, 128 GB RAM, and two NVMes. I had considered the cost of running the computation in the cloud and it would have turned out much higher.
