Solana was founded by Anatoly Yakovenko. He is a former engineer at Qualcomm and Dropbox, and he has a background in distributed systems and compression algorithms. Anatoly Yakovenko, along with his team, developed Solana to address scalability issues in blockchain technology, aiming to create a high-performance blockchain that can support thousands of transactions per second.
