Throwback to that hilarious field trip with my research buddies! We were deep in the forest, completely engrossed in identifying a rare plant species. Suddenly, my friend Tom thought he found a groundbreaking discovery, only to realize it was a plastic plant someone left behind! Ever wondered how to propagate your favorite plants at home? Grab a clean pair of scissors, a small pot of soil, and let’s do this together. First, select a healthy stem from your plant. Cut a few inches below a leaf node. Remove the lower leaves so you’re left with a few at the top. Next, dip the cut end into rooting hormone if you have it. Plant the cutting into the soil, ensuring the node is buried. Water lightly and cover with a plastic bag to create a humid environment. Place the pot in a bright spot but away from direct sunlight. In a few weeks, you’ll notice new growth. Happy propagating! 🌿
