I’ve grown up through using a four track to record guitars, saving for a sampler, selling my own vinyl shop to shop, buying my first Mac, handing out beat CDs outside the club

What has it taught me? 👇🏻

Being able to adapt is key, you have to be constantly curious and open minded. The path for creatives will never stop changing, and the answers to making it work will keep evolving too. 

The key is to keep exploring, experimenting and looking for your own answers, if you get caught up in following short term advice about what works right now, then you will always be behind. 

Having been through so many versions of what this industry is has actually taken away the fear and anxiety of what comes next, and freed me from the FOMO of chasing what’s working for others. 

At the end of the day creating on your own terms and enjoying the process should be the goal, get this foundation right and no matter what happens you will have music as  a positive part of your life for as long as possible.
