there are sooo many bad takes for consumer apps out there. dang. people make a living telling you how to build this-or-that.

90% of product advice is growth advice because growth is addicting, expensive, and sexy.

imo building consumer takes deep system knowledge, philosophy, and not analyzing things to death.

What I have come to realize about tech is that these mfs have to be telling you what to do. It’s a compulsion. It’s not just consumer apps. They will tell you how to run your whole damn life. There is 0 recognition many paths lead to Rome

I think so. Doctors and policemen and teachers and carpenters and scientists don’t have social media accounts where they opine on the best diet, when you need to hit career and life milestones to be a worthy person, what the best morning routine is, etc etc
