Here in Brazil, we face a serious problem with people constantly wanting to buy pedigree dogs from cold-climate breeds like German Spitz and Samoyeds. Imagine those dogs trying to survive in a tropical climate! This is one of the reasons we have so many abandoned pets. Thankfully, it's not rare to find groups of people dedicated to rescuing animals, organizing adoption fairs, and similar efforts to help them.
