The grid is a seesaw - it’s not just about the energy source, but about the balance. (thank you to WNYC’s morning show for this analogy) 

We need to modernize the grid. Balance it resiliently. 

Our grids are interconnected and siloed. Think about what happened in Texas a few years ago when they had terrible snow storms. Their isolated grid was f*cked. 
Yesterdays outages shows the negatives of interconnected grids 

My answer: keep the grid supply clean (renewables), balance it with technology (batteries and load management software)
