they could anyway (download and mint) but we're experimenting with making the most convenient way to do so, one where you get paid. the reasoning is that, as a creator, when you create something of value, you should "mint first, then distribute." you might post and then think, damn i should mint that, and now you can!

Sure, people can steal our work. Thats the danger of sharing our art but you thinking this is ok and creating a tool to do it is not ok. What if the work has already been minted and sold as a 1/1? What if the artist has plans for these pieces? They belong to us and no one else.

yes, i am. i'm one of the top creators on zora. also we've met in person.

also, it's not about anyone claiming the original, or trying to impersonate the artist. it's all done completely transparently, and the original creator is the one getting paid. think of it more like "sharing onchain" so that more people can see it and contribute $ to the artist.

your missing some really common use cases tho... 

for example, this allows anybody to one click copy mint an image that may already be owned by someone else w provable provenance. & the creator of the piece owns the copyright. this is not likely to be seen as fair use. dyor & make friends with a copyright lawyer.

understand your concern, but this is the first dip of the toe, in a very involved iterative process. yes, certainly provocative at first, but has unearthed loads of very raw and brutally honest feedback. the vision extends beyond the context here, it's a matter of validation and ux
