In September, the crypto industry suffered losses of approximately $161 million due to hackers and fraudsters, which is double the August losses. The distribution of losses is as follows: about $155.7 million was lost as a result of exploits, $4.7 million was lost through flash lending, and $0.7 million was lost as a result of exit scams. Only $2.1 million was recovered.
