This resonates. A lot of folks primarily come from HW (robotics, consumer electronics etc otherwise) and you don't feel like dealing with software, or you come from SW (and you think HW scales like software -- you are in for a rude awakening) -- and don't really know HW. One needs to be willing to get your hands dirty in both, and understand both deeply, and for that reason in-house ERP is insane.

This is why we are also taking a risk to do in house as much as we can with our own stack SW and HW. We've messed up a lot, and our timeline keeps extending. But why commit?

Because we want to get it right as we scale to 1,000 devices, 10,000 devices and so on...
