Texas GDP bigger than Canada — HIVE exec backs state’s Bitcoin reserve push. The state of Texas is on track to become the first U.S. state to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve, following the national executive order signed by President Donald Trump. A Texas Senate bill approving the creation of a state Bitcoin reserve has already passed with a 25-5 vote and is expected to move forward in the House.

Michael Saylor tells White House that U.S. economy can gain up to $100 trillion from crypto Michael Saylor, the executive chairman of Strategy (formerly known as MicroStrategy), said at Friday's White House crypto summit that pro-crypto policies and leadership could boost the U.S. economy by up to $100 trillion in the next ten years. Saylor said that digital securities alone could add $20 trillion to the U.S. stock market, digital currencies could add $10 trillion to U.S. Treasuries, and U.S. long-term capital assets could grow by $20 trillion.

US to Audit Any Bitcoin Reserve Holdings, White House Says President Donald Trump signed an executive order late Thursday creating the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the separate stockpile of other digital assets, to be capitalized with crypto forfeited in legal proceedings. Both the reserve and the stockpile will contain crypto forfeited as part of legal proceedings, the action said. The US had obtained around 400,000 Bitcoin over the past decade, largely a function of tokens seized in relation to criminal and civil litigation, Sacks told Bloomberg TV in an interview on Friday. The government believes it is still in possession of around half of that sum, Sacks said. “We say we believe because no one knows for sure, we never had a proper audit,” he said. The US currently owns roughly $17.5 billion in Bitcoin and about $400 million worth of several other tokens in its known digital wallets, according to data from blockchain analytics researcher Arkham.

Crypto Czar says Biden's 'bad' Bitcoin policy cost tax payers $17 billion Tech investor and Crypto Czar David Sacks has called into question the U.S. government’s handling of confiscated Bitcoin, asserting that “bad long-term strategy” has led to taxpayers losing out to the tune of billions. David Sacks wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on March 6 that in the past decade, the federal government sold about 195,000 Bitcoin for a total of $366 million. “If the government had held Bitcoin, it would be worth over $17 billion today. That’s how much it has cost American taxpayers not to have a long-term strategy,” Sacks posted on X. Seized Bitcoin assets could have liberated taxpayers’ burden Much of the Bitcoin that the U.S government has been selling appears to involve law enforcement seizures, including those related to Silk Road and other criminal activity.

Bitcoin Could Swing Back to $95K Amid Signs of BTC Bear Exhaustion Technical charts, particularly the shape of candlesticks, often reflect the psychology behind the market, highlighting trader sentiment and behavior. Since Friday, at least two bitcoin (BTC) candles have indicated bullish undercurrents at multi-month lows, providing a glimmer of hope for crypto bulls. The chart below shows that BTC's price decline has stalled at the 200-day simple moving average support level since last Wednesday. Daily candles for Tuesday and Friday are of particular interest, as both have small bodies with long lower wicks, hinting at bear failures below the 200-day SMA.
