What’s the one Web3 concept you think is misunderstood by 90% of the space, and what’s the real deal? 🤔One Web3 concept that I think is misunderstood by 90% of the space is "decentralization." Most people assume it means total freedom from any control or intermediaries, like a wild west of the internet. The real deal is that decentralization in Web3 isn’t about eliminating all structure—it’s about redistributing power away from centralized entities (like big tech or governments) to a network of participants, often through mechanisms like blockchain. But even then, it’s not pure chaos; there are still rules, consensus mechanisms, and often some level of governance (like DAOs) that keep things functional. The misunderstanding comes from oversimplifying it as "no one’s in charge," when really it’s more like "everyone’s a little bit in charge, within a system."

Decentralization in Web3 is about redistributing power, not eliminating structure. It's not chaos, but a system where everyone has some level of control. Understanding this concept is key to grasping the true potential of Web3 technology.
