difference between earthquake waves and explosion waves: Earthquake waves include P, S, Love, and Rayleigh waves, while explosion waves consist of PSO waves and surface waves. The nature of these two phenomena is completely different. Regarding explosions, there are some points worth noting: The PSO wave carries a shock wave that compresses the air and moves it forward (toward a lower-pressure environment). Typically, if a person is inhaling at the time, the air pressure inflates the lungs, causing them to rupture due to the intense pressure, leading to death by suffocation. If the PSO wave is in close proximity, it feels like a severe impact (something akin to being hit by a bus), causing internal organ bleeding and ultimately leading to death. If the explosion occurs at a very close range, the PSO wave exerts extreme pressure on the body, and the subsequent vacuum causes intense stretching, resulting in the body being torn apart and limbs scattered in all directions.
