Why no plans? Would it be too hard or the two protocols don’t align ?

Of course, having an app that does all for decentralization would help keep users here rather than jumping back and forth, you’ve already made wallet here, email here, phone number (us only) here, minting NFTs with warps here, we have coin trading thanks to bots, I think adding XMTP would add the cherry on top

Who is using XMTP today that isn't on Farcaster that would join Farcaster because we added XMTP?

One condition for you to add XMTP in relation to user growth.
The coinbase app has many users, and also uses XMTP for in-app messaging.
Integrating XMTP could expose farcaster to a small number of coinbase app users.
Therefore the incentive for you to add XMTP is proportionate to the number of coinbase users.
