I watched my brother in law pass away today. His body was battling to survive after open heart surgery and today he lost the fight. It’s hard to put into words how I feel, one minute I’m talking to my boys like every other day and the next, I’m back in the hospital room watching him take his last breaths. Death is a part of life but it’s so hard to accept. It’s sad and so shockingly final. The thought I keep coming back to is when it’s my time to go, I hope I leave this world better than I found it.

Renee, I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how heavy this must feel, witnessing such a profound moment. You’re right.. death is a part of life, but that doesn’t make it any easier to accept. Holding space for you and your family in my thoughts. And knowing you, there’s no doubt you’re already leaving this world better than you found it… 🫂🫂🫂
