The Mask
A mask upon my face,
A secret I embrace,
Hiding truths, revealing lies,
In this world, I softly rise.
But beneath its painted grin,
A heart that yearns to begin,
To shed this skin and be free,
To show the world, the real me.
Yet still, the mask remains,
A shield from life's painful stains,
A dance of shadows and light,
Where truth and fiction intertwine.
So wear your mask with pride,
And know within you hide,
A soul that's pure and bright,
Waiting to shine, through the night. 0 reply
