So many Gigabrains here I was inspired to not only read but read non fiction. This book has been at the very top of my list for a while. Nice to get a sober history lesson on an issue that is massive and also muddied in the press, to say the least.

This book was not as hard to read as I thought but certain chapters were. It's A LOT of info but the main points are very clear.

Ahhh ok. I may just read that bc even though the subject matter is vast and convoluted at times he really did a great job communicating it all.

Khalidi is very thorough. The Iron Cage, if you haven’t read it, is his best book, imo. And I found that reading Avi Shlaim’s The Iron Wall, followed by The Iron Cage, was most illuminating 👍

Yeah I'm starting to see those are the biggest camps by far now.

Israel is dominated by two camps - settler colonialists who still believe in occupying land under the guise of lefty liberalism, and then the Zionists who—at this point I don’t even know what they believe in anymore. Good book. Enjoy it.
