The Ukraine-Russia conflict is likely to end before its third anniversary. For the U.S. military, the war in Ukraine has been a valuable source of data on the effectiveness of its systems. The U.S. has likely gained deeper insights into its weapons, maintenance needs, and other important details because of this conflict. On the other hand, a key takeaway for India is that Russia used P-800 Oniks missiles, predecessors of the BrahMos missiles co-developed by India and Russia, to target Odessa port's logistics and depots. Surprisingly, Ukraine's defense system failed to intercept these missiles, and all of them hit their targets. Whatβs even more surprising is that Ukraine had deployed the U.S.-made Patriot missile system in the area.
