My Mom turned 93 this week. She grew up in Bushwick Brooklyn and would often talk about going to The Halsey Theater and see Jackie Gleason do a variety show in between the movie reels. Tonight, my son Brendan will be hosting a Variety Show at the Bushwick Comedy Club just a few blocks from where the Halsey Theater used to stand. It’s the Circle of Life !
