Points that stood out: **Research** Spending time to list out key learning objectives, scope, what educational resources to use might save hours in the future learning irrelevant stuff or figuring things out

2/3: **Directness** Learning / being in the environment you will actually use the knowledge / skill in. Eg. If you wanna compete in Ninja warrior, you can train in the gym, but a better way would be to create and train on the obstacles used in the show.

3/3: **Experimentation** Applies to the learning methods, and to the material itself. Don’t be fixated on tested and proven methods, see what works best for you. Highly contextual, the optimal methods used to learn 1 thing could be different from another. Relates to another concept in the book on metalearning
