I’ve done this before with cellular Apple Watch+AirPods, entirely ditching the phone on weekends. 

You get email, phone calls, texts, work slack/discord alerts (if you wish), as well as music and podcasts. 

I found it to be excellent.

If there was a good ChatGPT flow from Apple Watch that would be amazing. I’ve not found an actually good one yet though.

Literally the only sticking point for me was that most vehicle head units don’t support the watch Bluetooth connection (even though portable speakers do). 

Couldn’t just hop in the car sans phone on the weekend and listen to my casts/tunes from watch.
