This week I built: 

Legitify – proud to announce that we won the Based Africa Buildathon powered by @devfolio  as the only Tanzanian team! 🎉 Legitify is a Web3 solution fighting document fraud in Tanzania with tamper-proof, verifiable certificates on the @base  blockchain.

As university students from the University of Dar es Salaam, we see Web3 as Africa’s opportunity to solve local challenges. Document fraud is a serious issue in Tanzania, where fake certificates and forged documents impact personal growth and economic stability. Legitify addresses this by securing credentials on IPFS, pinned under infura nodes with cryptographic protection, ensuring trust and transparency for all.
