i'm willing to bet that salah has better numbers than hazard on any measurable attacking stat you compare them with. 

whether it's assists, chances created, big chances created and so on. that's why people have to resort to vague metrics like "playmaking" and "making impossible passes."

a player who has registered 52 goals and assists in 39 games this season is "average in most of the games he plays." because i'm sure average players are routinely contributing more than a goal a game to their team.

if this is average, it is unfortunate that hazard never reached these levels of average.

There it is, the classic "goals and assists" argument. Exactly what I’ve been saying. Is there anything else to Salah’s game beyond just numbers? As a winger? As a footballer?

It would be foolish to deny salah's numbers, because we all understand how important goals and assists are in the game, but these guys (hazard,neymar) have numbers too and yet their impact on the game/in matches showed  fans that there are more to the game than just goals and assists...
