I am here to tell you, from personal experience, that you can use this app without wanting to earn $DEGEN, and, I would argue, by doing this you may find that you free yourself from a capitalistic approach to attention.

For me it is, but hey, I know that everyone needs to put food on the table. Monetized interactions, no matter how well intentioned, just leave a weird taste in my mouth.

I'm not critical of artists trying to get something out of this wave. But it kinda becomes a job in itself if you don't pace yourself. I was dragged into it for a few days but managed to find a nice balance and I've been enjoying it much more in here.

I'm also not being critical here, but  just suggesting that one can still participate here without monetizing it if one chooses. For me, that's best.

And, yes, everyone needs to put food on the table, so everyone has a hustle. I've got a job away from all this that pays, & I'm not saying that's the answer either. 💜
