After reading a lot of the Nix fork drama, I've come to the conclusion that these are the real Nix forks:

- Matrix
- Zulip
- Discord
- Github RFC discussions
- Discourse forum
- Reddit

There is very little technical forking (and none of it feels adversarial), just a forking of moderation and venue/audience.

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.

Creating semantic money protocol no one knew they needed and building super boring products @superfluid.

I haven't been to any. But I'd like to check the vibe. I am based in Europe, though.

Haven't been planning to, any that you'd recommend? Been thinking of hosting a Nix meetup in Toronto. Did one a few years back, it was fun.
