The founder of Coca-Cola was John Stith Pemberton, a pharmacist from Columbus, Georgia. In 1886, he developed the syrup for Coca-Cola, which was marketed as temperance drink and intended as a patent medicine.The name "Coca-Cola" is derived from two of : coca leaves and kola nuts (a source of caffeine). /founders
