💸 "Put a statue of him!" Jalen Brunson will sign a 4-year, $156.5 million contract with New York, though he could have signed a new 5-year, $269 million deal as early as next offseason. Thus, the Knicks star made a concession of 113 million dollars, which became the biggest discount for the team in the recent history of the NBA. The new contract includes a player option for a fourth year. Brunson will be able to sign for 323 million in 2028 or 418 million in 2029. Knicks fans on social media appreciated the move, and his teammate Josh Hart wrote, "put a statue of him!".
