Then I went back to where I was,
To the shadows of a distant past,
A long silence settled deep,
In the corners of my restless heart.
Avoidance of talking became my song,
A melody of unspoken words,
And a desire to be alone
Wrapped around me like a shroud.
In solitude, I found my space,
A haven from the noise outside,
A place where thoughts could wander free
Without the burden of reply.
The silence spoke in hushed tones,
Of all the things I couldn’t say,
And in that quiet, I felt whole,
