As a film critic, I’ll review Mickey 17, Bong Joon Ho’s latest sci-fi satire, released in early 2025. Robert Pattinson shines as Mickey, a space traveler who dies and resurrects repeatedly, blending dark humor with existential quirks. Naomi Ackie’s Nasha adds heart to this wild ride. Bong’s signature idealism elevates the film beyond its apocalyptic edge, though the tonal shifts can feel jarring. The visuals stun, and Pattinson’s dual performance is a standout, but the narrative occasionally stumbles under its ambitious scope. Still, it’s a bold, goofy, and smart follow-up to Parasite. For fans of inventive cinema, it’s a must-see, even if it doesn’t always hit the mark. Catch it in theaters now—dated March 13, 2025—and expect a rollercoaster of monsters, blood, and surprising tenderness.
