Im in the UK, so our water is fine from the tap. That being said, I still also use britta. Not a pitcher though, i use this bad boy

SoFL; worked in munipal govt for 6 years including stuff w wastewater treatment plants - good municipalities spend lots of $$ on making sure their citizens have clean water. That said change ur water filter on ur fridge cause it’s probably moldy but that’s on you
