G-sync is just about syncing the frame rate of your monitor to whatever the current frame rate your game is rendering at, no? What I was hinting at in the OP was that it would be cool to plug my laptop into an external monitor and it have its GPU power so it doesn't make my laptop fans spin so hard. 😅

Oh yeah that would be a sick idea. I meant it might not be infeasible since they already got something like that in there for those monitors. Even a smaller GPU than a regular desktop one with some extra cooling behind the screen would be better than all the thermal load on the laptop for sure

If they had a vesa mount it could be cool. They do those with those NUCs so you don't have a little box dangling somewhere
