Two years ago today, @alex_pertsev was arrested in the Netherlands for his part in building @TornadoCash. In May of this year, NL judges found Alexey guilty of money laundering and sentenced him to 5+ years in prison.

Did @l2beat ever post an explanation of why Base is Stage 0 while Optimism is Stage 1? High level they look the same. it seems to hinge on "Security Council is not properly set up", but I can't immediately see out why not.

Why is a roadmap post talking about something from 2 years ago? Because Ethereum was the first truly decentralized proof of stake chain. It has magnitudes more stakers than any other chain. In the past years we have learned things, and also we have seen the system in production, so we can make improvements.
