the key for me was to move my expectations and interest as far from the central business district as possible. it also happens to be near my house. prices are lower. less "hip" and less bullshit. just folks building things. not crypto or web3 - but real things like soap, coffee, furniture, etc. pretty awesome tbh

it is way way way cheaper. and it puts people out of the startup context. which i think really helps. when you are surrounded by people who are doing real things it makes doing real things easier. when i am surrounded by people trying to invent stuff i am surrounded by vapor i need solid ground to build on
