Also… conspiracy theories are a response to the fear of the unknown and discomfort with randomness. 
That everything must have an explanation and bad things don’t “just happen.”

eg birds shit on cars because they hate global warming… or maybe birds just shit everywhere. But nooo it’s always on MY car.
